Build Your Own Burger Bar in Fort Worth? Try a Gourmet Burger Bar

Thinking about a build your own burger bar in Fort Worth? Here is how a catered Gourmet Burger Bar gives guests choice without the DIY work.

A lot of hosts start their planning by searching for a build your own burger bar in Fort Worth. The idea makes sense: guests like choosing their own toppings, and a burger bar feels more personal than a fixed plate. What I want to explain here is how to get that experience without turning yourself into the cook, the shopper and the cleanup crew. We do not sell a separate build-your-own kit. Instead, our Gourmet Burger Bar package and our burger bar catering give guests real choice, with a professional crew grilling on site.

Why the DIY burger station event is harder than it looks

A DIY burger station event sounds simple until you list the jobs. Someone has to buy and store the meat, keep it cold, light and manage the grill, slice the toppings, keep the buns covered and watch the line. Then someone has to clean all of it afterward. If the host is doing those jobs, the host is not with the guests. That is the opposite of why most people throw a cookout.

Food safety is part of this too. Raw patties, cooked patties and fresh toppings all need to be handled carefully in the heat. A trained crew handles that while you visit with your guests.

What a catered burger bar gives your guests

The part guests enjoy about a burger bar is the choice. With catering, that choice is still there. Every package includes a full condiment line, and guests dress their own burger at the buffet. The difference is that the burgers come off the grill cooked by someone whose only job is the grill.

    Gourmet Burger Bar

Gourmet Burger Bar is our most complete burger bar option. It includes: Sweet sourdough bun, Swiss & pepper jack cheese, sautéed mushrooms & jalapeños, grilled pineapple, bacon, guacamole, and homemade sauces. It also includes chips plus your choice of two sides. That gives guests a wide range of toppings to work with while the menu stays organized and easy to serve.

    Classic burger bar catering

If you want a simpler spread, The Cookout and The Block Party still give guests a choice of condiments. The Block Party adds grilled chicken and a veggie burger as protein options, which widens the choice without adding a separate station.

Burger bar catering in Fort Worth and Dallas

For burger catering in Fort Worth, the useful planning details are your address, the outdoor area and how guests will move from the grill to the buffet. Many Fort Worth properties have room to spread out, which makes station placement easier, but every location is different. The same planning applies to burger bar catering in Dallas: see our burger catering in Dallas page, and check nearby cities such as Arlington, Benbrook and Aledo on our service areas page.

Layout tips for a burger bar

Put the condiment line where guests can stand on both sides if possible, and keep it away from the grill so the cooking area stays clear. Plan a spot for drinks a short distance from the food so the line does not stop while people pour. One burger station per 75 guests is our planning recommendation, and we can discuss the right layout for your space.

Current burger packages and shared inclusions

The Cookout and The Block Party

The Cookout is $13 per person for a hamburger or cheeseburger with chips. The Block Party is $16 per person and includes everything in The Cookout plus your choice of two sides: Potato Salad, Baked Pork BBQ Beans, Creamy Coleslaw, Macaroni Salad, Fresh Fruit Salad, Seasoned Vegetables. Choose the combination that fits the meal you want, rather than assuming a larger menu is always necessary.

    Gourmet Burger Bar

Gourmet Burger Bar is $19 per person. Includes: Sweet sourdough bun, Swiss & pepper jack cheese, sautéed mushrooms & jalapeños, grilled pineapple, bacon, guacamole, and homemade sauces, plus chips and your choice of two sides. All three packages use the same condiment line: Served with lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, mustard, mayo, ketchup, salt, and pepper. Compare the three catering packages before making your selections. The Gourmet option uses the same $500 food and beverage minimum and shared add-on list.

The global package terms are the same for all three: $500 Food & Beverage Minimum | 20% service charge | 8.25% sales tax | 2-hour service | Professional on-site grilling and setup. Service charge and sales tax are added on top of the base package price. The Block Party includes a veggie burger option, and other vegetarian and dietary needs can be accommodated on request.

    Choosing between DIY and catering

A DIY setup can work for a small family dinner. For a party where you want to actually be present, catering gives guests the same choice with far less work for you. Compare the three catering packages, decide on sides and extras, and send us your details.

    Shared add-ons and What's Included

The same optional add-ons apply to every package: Hot Dogs +$3.00 per person; Bratwurst +$4.00 per person; Bottled Water & Assorted Sodas +$3.00 per person; Lemonade and Sweet Tea available for an additional +$1.00 per person; Dessert: Homemade Banana Pudding or Strawberry Shortcake +$4.00 per person. The lemonade and sweet tea option is an additional upgrade to the drinks selection, not a replacement price for bottled water and sodas. Keep your selected extras visible when requesting an estimate.

What's Included applies to all three packages: Tent, Grill, Lights, Buffet tables, Plates, Utensils, Setup, Teardown, Cleanup. Review this list alongside your site arrangements so included catering equipment is not confused with separate guest seating or other event supplies. Setup, teardown and cleanup are included, and the cooking and serving layout should be discussed for your actual location.

    Booking and cancellation terms

A 25% non-refundable booking fee (deposit) is required to reserve your date. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the event. Cancel more than 7 days before the event and we refund the remaining 75% (the 25% booking fee is non-refundable). Cancellations within 7 days of the event are not eligible for a refund, but the full amount paid can be applied to a future event date.

Read the Booking & Cancellation Terms before reserving your date. When you are ready, use the quote form to send the date, actual event address, estimated attendance, preferred package, add-ons and meal window. Those details let us discuss a quote for your gathering instead of relying on a generic planning example.
